The word Satan did not derive from the Hebrew language the reason why there definition of that name is advasary is because there are the enemies of god.

The word Satan came from the language of Sanskrit.

There was a city in the far east that was called Satana where they would practice sacred Mantra's such as SATANAMA "SA" meaning Infinite "TA" meaning life "NA" meaning death and "MA" meaning rebirth

Satan was a word meaning God in which death and rebirth was no longer needed.

This goes back to the exact meaning of Satanism itself and its point in elevating humanity to reach god head.

Sat-an also relates to the eternal truth which is our God and also the perfection of the soul. 'Sat' meaning truth and 'an' being a prefix for the primordial serpent Anahata as in eternity. Think Ouroboros which means the same thing.
